Veterans awarded Vietnam citation

Governor-General Peter Cosgrove has given official approval for veterans from some units to be belatedly awarded a South Vietnamese gallantry citation

Australian veterans from some units that served in Vietnam half a century ago have belatedly been awarded a South Vietnamese gallantry award.

Governor-General Peter Cosgrove has given official approval for awarding of the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation to units overlooked when the citation was initially offered.

They include members of the Navy Clearance Diving Team 3 , RAAF Helicopter Flight Vietnam, RAAF Transport Flight Vietnam and navy and air force members serving with 9 Squadron.
