Veterans remember fall of Singapore

The day that World War Two came to Australia's doorstep has been remembered at services at home and abroad.

Wednesday marked seventy years since Singapore fell to the Japanese, leaving thousands of Australian soldiers prisoners of war.

And time has in no way tempered vivid memories of starvation, cruelty and death.
