A Victorian gang taskforce has charged 33 teenagers as it cracks down on street violence and a spate of carjackings and home invasions.

Taskforce Ares has charged 41 people, 30 of them in relation to the Moomba Festival brawl in Melbourne's CBD in March, and 33 of them under the age of 18.

Of the teens charged, 10 of them have suspected links to the Apex gang, which has allegedly been involved in aggravated burglaries and carjackings in Melbourne.
