An 11-year-old boy has been nominated for a bravery award after helping save his family from a blaze that destroyed their Melbourne home.
The schoolboy heard a fire alarm go off at his Camberwell home on Thursday night, evacuated his family and called triple zero before the roof caved in and fire consumed the home.
The quick-thinking boy has been nominated for a Triple Zero Hero Award, an MFB spokeswoman said on Friday.
