Vic boy airlifted after schoolyard fight

A schoolyard flight in regional Victoria has allegedly resulted in one teenager being charged and another with a serious head injury.

A teenager has been charged after a schoolyard fight in regional Victoria allegedly left another boy with a serious head injury.

Police were called to Wodonga Senior Secondary College on Tuesday morning.

A 17-year-old boy was taken by road to Wodonga Hospital then flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital, an ambulance spokeswoman said.

A 15-year-old boy was charged on Wednesday with recklessly causing serious injury and has been bailed to face a children's court at a later date.

A hospital spokeswoman said on Thursday morning the boy's condition was stable.
