Hundreds of illegal miniature motorbikes face the crusher and the Melbourne company which sold them will be forced to refund the owners and pay a $10,000 fine.
Consumer Affairs Victoria took the Brunswick-based Big Aussie Deals to Melbourne Magistrates Court after discovering the business sold 220 'monkey bikes' without proper brakes.
The company will have to refund the buyers, destroy all the bikes, as well as pay a $10,000 fine.
Consumer Affairs Minister Marlene Kairouz said on Tuesday that the case sends a clear message to anyone trying to sell illegal bikes.
"Banned monkey bikes are dangerous and put lives at risk. Anyone caught selling them will be punished."

The sale of mini motorbikes with unsafe design features, commonly known as monkey bikes, has been banned since 2011, and last year laws were put in place to seize and impound bikes that have been used on roads and in car parks.
The new laws were passed after the death of Melbourne nurse Andrea Lehane, who was struck and killed by a monkey bike outside a Carrum Downs shopping centre in September 2015.
Rider Caleb Jakobsson was sentenced in May to at least four years jail for her death.
