The United Firefighters Union has called a special meeting of members to endorse the contentious CFA pay deal and a Metropolitan Fire Brigade deal.

A Supreme Court agreement between the CFA and Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria (VFBV) to delay a vote on the deal ended on Wednesday.

The UFU will hold a meeting on July 26 at the Victorian Trades Hall in Carlton.

According to a notice published on the union's website, members will be asked to endorse in principal prosed operational staffing agreements for both the CFA and MFB.

As part of the Supreme Court undertaking, the CFA must give the VFBV three days' notice of any request for a vote on its enterprise agreement.

The VFBV took the matter to court last month when the Andrews government tried ramming the deal through.

Emergency services minister Jane Garrett resigned and despite the VFBV successfully getting a Supreme Court injunction preventing the vote, the CFA board was sacked because it repeatedly refused to back the deal over concerns it gave too much power to the United Firefighters Union.

On Tuesday, four Victorian volunteer firefighters were added to the new CFA board.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull promised to block the CFA deal using the Fair Work Act if he won the federal election.
