Vic Little River fire under control

The CFA has downgraded its warning for the Victorian town of Little River after bringing a grassfire under control.

Firefighters have stopped the spread of a grassfire which was heading for the Victorian town of Little River.

The CFA has downgraded its emergency warning to a watch and act alert for Little River and Rothwell, located between Geelong and Melbourne.

About 100 firefighters and two aircraft, including a fire-bombing helicopter, have managed to stop the spread of the 100-hectare fire.

The fire is now under control, the CFA says.
