The death of a man whose body was found hours after an alleged brawl with bouncers at a Melbourne pub is no longer being treated as suspicious.
An inquiry into the 22-year-old's death has wrapped up after detectives received the results of an autopsy.
The man's body was found at his home in Orchard Ave, Eltham, by his family about 6.30am on Friday.
Bouncers at the Eltham Hotel - about three kilometres away - had been accused of brawling with the young man hours before his death, and police examined the venue.
"It is unknown at this stage whether or not the incident is related to the death of the man," Victoria Police said in a statement on Friday during the initial stages of its investigation.
Police had been treating the death as suspicious before they received the outcome of the autopsy on Friday evening.
Officers had taken several brown paper bags of evidence from the home and had examined the Eltham Hotel.
It is understood detectives reviewed the hotel's security camera footage.
The Eltham Hotel, which is part of the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group, declined to comment on the investigation.
