Vic "monkey bike" teens face court, bailed

Two teens charged in relation to the death of a nurse who was hit by a mini-motorbike at a shopping centre last week have had their bail extended.

Two teenagers charged over the death of a young mother who was knocked down by a mini-motorbike in the car park of a Melbourne shopping centre have had their bail extended.

Andrea Lehane, a 34-year-old nurse, was fatally injured when she was hit by the bike on September 23.

Her family switched off life support on Friday and donated her organs after she suffered "unsurvivable" brain damage in the crash at Carrum Downs shopping centre.

A 17-year-old Seaford boy and a 16-year-old Carrum Downs boy faced a children's court on Monday charged with a string of offences including reckless conduct endangering life, unlicensed riding and having an unregistered vehicle.

Their bail was extended until November and they are prohibited from going within 100 metres of the shopping centre.

An 18-year-old man is in custody in relation to the death after facing court on Saturday.

Caleb Jakobsson is charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, failure to stop and render assistance, and other driving offences.

Police allege Jakobsson, from Melbourne's south eastern suburbs, hit Ms Lehane as she walked across a pedestrian crossing in the car park late last Wednesday afternoon.

He will face a filing hearing on Tuesday.
