Vic police continue Bourke St probe

A number of streets in Melbourne's CBD will be closed overnight as police continue to investigate the Bourke Street attack in January.

A number of roads in Melbourne's CBD will be closed overnight as police begin detailed mapping relating to the Bourke Street attack.

Parts of Swanston and Bourke streets will be closed to both cars and pedestrians between midnight on Monday and 5am on Tuesday.

Police will "undertake detailed mapping of the scene relating to the Bourke Street incident".

Dimitrious Gargasoulas is accused of deliberately driving a car into pedestrians at Bourke St mall before crashing after police shot at and wounded him.

He is facing six counts of homicide and 29 charges of attempted murder over the rampage on January 20.
