Healthy minds and fit bodies are the latest centrepieces of the Victorian major parties political wooing ahead of the state election in less than two weeks.
Premier Daniel Andrews announced $1.5 million to expand the Centenary of Anzac Centre which helps former and serving defence members with their mental health.
"It is appropriate that we, with an outstanding partner in Phoenix (Australia), provide some additional funding to refit their building to allow them to dramatically expand," he told reporters on Sunday.
Another $1 million has been pledged for the Vietnam Veterans Association to help members, and $200,000 for the National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Phillip Island.
A Last Post ceremony would also be held each week at the Shrine in Melbourne with a story of a veteran under the Labor pledge.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Matthew Guy pledged $60 million over five years to revitalise the Life. Be In It campaign in Victoria to get more people moving.
"Prevention is better than cure. It is so important that we have healthy living promoted," he told reporters in Caulfield.
A steering committee would be formed to roll-out the media campaign and grass-roots initiatives in workplaces, schools, childcare centres and councils under the plan.
Labor also made a $10 million pledge on Sunday towards the $22.3 million upgrade of Her Majesty's Theatre in Ballarat, if re-elected.
Victorians head to the polls on November 24.
