Online ads promoting a police recruitment drive in Victoria have been pulled after appearing on a bikie club website.
The online ads were part of a $1.8 million advertising blitz to recruit more protective services officers in the state.
One banner advertisement had been running on the Mongols Nation Motorcycle Club website until it was taken down on Monday.
Police Minister Kim Wells blamed Google for not following provided guidelines in placing the ad on the site.
"It's embarrassing. This sort of advertising shouldn't happen," he told Fairfax Radio.

The ad had generated about 200 clicks, costing $2, before it was pulled, he said, but taxpayers won't be paying the bill.
"There will be no public money paid for this Google stuff-up."
The Mongols are based in southern California but have been slowly moving into Australia and taking over Finks chapters.
