The court case for a man charged over a dog attack that killed a four-year-old Melbourne girl has been adjourned until next year.

Ayen Chol was mauled to death by a neighbour's pit bull mastiff dog in her St Albans home on August 17 this year.

57-year-Old Lazor Josevski was due to face the Sunshine Magistrates Court today charged with eight offences under the Domestic Animals Act.
