Victoria is sending an urgent deployment of State Emergency Service (SES) personnel to Queensland to help respond to the floods crisis, AAP reports.
Premier Ted Baillieu said an initial team of five SES personnel would travel to Queensland from regional offices across Victoria on Sunday.
They will be based at the Queensland Emergency Operations Centre in Kedron for up to five days.

"I spoke yesterday with Queensland Premier Anna Bligh about the devastating situation in Queensland and offered Victoria's full support in responding to the disaster," Mr Baillieu said in a statement.
The Victorian personnel have specialised skills in flood incident management and emergency response and will join Queensland's state incident management team.
Further assistance will be provided in coming weeks and months as required.
"Victorians have been blessed with support from other states during emergencies such as bushfires and we will provide Queenslanders with support to help them recover from these
unprecedented floods," Mr Baillieu said.
Towns across the state are badly hit - the ABC reports Rockhampton Mayor Brad Carter as saying residents could be cut off for another ten days.
Meanwhile, Queensland Treasurer Andrew Fraser says the state is suffering a
disaster of Biblical proportions that'll set back its economic recovery.
