Video footage from the scene of one of the Paris attacks has revealed one woman's terrifying brush with death.

The security camera footage, released by the Daily Mail, from a Paris restaurant appears to show an unidentified attacker firing bullets into the dining area, forcing staff and diners diving under tables and behind the counter.

One woman is shown lying on the ground just outside the restaurant as the gunman stands over her and takes aim but his weapon appears to malfunction and he leaves in a car.

Moments later the woman and another female diner are seen running from the scene uninjured.

Another woman, who appears to be injured, runs into the restaurant as the attack begins and hides behind the counter where a young female staff member comforts her.

Others are seen running down a flight of stairs to a floor below the dining area.

It is believed none of those inside the restaurant died during the attack, but a man who arrived to collect a pizza was reportedly shot dead outside the diner.

French investigators have determined from the footage that there were three men in a car used for the shootings at bars and restaurants in Paris on Friday and that the unidentified additional man was now being sought, two sources told Reuters.

"Three men were in the black Seat used to fire on the bar terraces and restaurants," a judicial source said.

The judicial source said that investigators were now sure that alongside Salah Abdeslam, who is being sought by police, and his brother Brahim who blew himself up at the scene, there was a third man, whom they have yet to identify.

"He is therefore being sought," a second source close to the investigation said.
