Not for profit group, the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, posted the footage online after capturing the event earlier this week.

The group described it was the “first breach recorded during a natural predation attempt”.

The ground breaking leap was filmed by Dr Greg Skomel off the coast of Cape Cod on Tuesday and has been praised by fans as an example of the group’s “excellent work”.
