Actor Vin Diesel has suffered a minor concussion while filming Fast & Furious 7.

The Riddick star has posted a picture of himself and director James Wan on Facebook along with details of how he got the injury.

"Knocked skulls with (Jason) Statham, literally... then got beaten with lead pipes. Slammed against a car and suffered a minor concussion," he wrote.

But Diesel insists he isn't going to let the injury stall the movie because he owes it to his late friend and co-star Paul Walker to complete the project.

"I promised Pablo (Paul Walker) this would be the biggest film in history... haha... all in a days work. P.s. Proud of the whole Fast team," he wrote.

Production on the movie resumed last month (Mar14) following the car crash death of franchise star Walker last year.

The film is slated to hit Australian theatres in June.
