Virgin to be in space 'within weeks'

British billionaire Richard Branson says his company Virgin Galactic will be in space in "weeks, not months."

"We should be in space within weeks, not months. And then we will be in space with myself in months and not years," the firm's founder told CNBC.

He said Virgin would be taking people into space "not too long after" that.
