Shares in Australian assisted reproductive provider Virtus Health have rallied following news the company has acquired a fertility clinic in Denmark for $16.5 million.
Virtus chief executive Sue Channon says Aagaard, established in 2004, is Denmark's leading fertility clinic outside Copenhagen and will add to the group's international growth strategy.
Shares in the Australian company had jumped 1.9 per cent, or 11 cents, to $5.87 by 1200 AEDT, following the announcement.
