Vote of confidence in SA's renewables

SA's preference and commitment to renewable energy has attracted a global utilities company, creating 100 local jobs.

South Australia's renewable energy push will get another vote of confidence with a global utilities advisory company setting up shop in Adelaide.

The Enzen Group expects to create 100 jobs in SA and a further 150 nationally and says South Australia's commitment to clean energy could generate export income.

The state is poised to become a world leader in transitioning to a low-carbon economy and encourages best practice in the energy and water sectors, Enzen chief executive Kutty Prabakaran says.

"And that is one of the reasons we decided to make Adelaide our base," he said.

"We found within the government a very strong commitment to developing a technology and industrial base in low carbon solutions, leading to the creation of high-value jobs and the potential to export know-how to other markets around the world."
