Volkswagen is recalling about 150,000 Passat mid-size cars because the headlights can be damaged if the bonnets are closed roughly.

The recall affects cars from the 2012 and 2013 model years.

Volkswagen says if the bonnets are closed hard, the vibration or impact can cut off electricity to the low-beam headlights. Drivers would see a dashboard warning light if this happens.
