WA bushfire a threat to homes and lives

Authorities in Western Australia say a bushfire burning in Perth's northern suburbs is a threat to lives and homes.

The threat from a bushfire burning in Perth's northern suburbs has reduced with authorities posting a watch and act message for the blaze at Jandabup.

However, they say the fire may still pose a threat to lives and property in the area and is burning amid changing conditions.

It started around midday on Saturday with the cause considered suspicious.

About 80 firefighters remain on the scene as they battle bring the blaze under control.
