A bushfire that was threatening lives and homes north-east of Perth has been contained and brought under control.
A watch and act alert has been downgraded to an advice for people in the town of Spencers Brook and surrounding areas in the Shire of Northam.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services warns there is still a lot of smoke in the area.
About 50 hectares have been burnt since the accidental blaze started on Friday morning.
