WA Labor gains at least 20 seats at poll

The West Australian election proved to be a boilover with the Labor party sweeping to victory with at least 20 extra seats.

LIBERAL SEATS GAINED BY LABOR

Balcatta, Belmont, Bicton, Bunbury, Burns Beach, Collie-Preston, Darling Range, Forrestfield, Joondalup, Kalamunda, Kingsley, Morley, Mount Lawley, Murray-Wellington, Perth, Southern River, Swan Hills, Wanneroo, West Swan

MINISTERS WHO GOT THE BOOT

* Environment minister Albert Jacob lost Burns Beach to Labor's Mark Folkard

* Local government minister Paul Miles lost Wanneroo to Labor's Sabine Winton

* Health minister John Day lost Kalamunda to Labor's Matthew Hughes

* Mental health minister Andrea Mitchell lost Kingsley to Labor's Jessica Stojkovski

NB. A number of seats are still undecided
