WA lives, homes threatened in Perth bushfire

A bushfire burning out of control in Bedfordale, about 40km south east of Perth, is threatening lives and homes.

Lives and homes are at risk southeast of Perth as an out of control bushfire rages.

Authorities issued an emergency warning at 6pm on Wednesday for people in the eastern part of Bedfordale, about 40km southeast of Perth.

Homes in Rails Crescent, Wongan Close, Burns Drive, Coolibbarra Drive and Harwood Pass will be under threat, the alert said, while people have been advised to leave now if the way is clear or get ready to shelter.
