Runs came plentifully and quickly for Western Australia on day one of their Shield Sheffield clash with NSW, the home side compiling 5-360 as they chase an unlikely spot in the final.
WA must win to be any hope of playing Victoria in the decider in Alice Springs while the Blues will guarantee a spot with a victory.
NSW skipper Moises Henriques won the toss and asked the Warriors to bat first.
It didn't pay dividends.
Cameron Bancroft made 104 and Ashton Turner 84 while there's promise of more to come with retiring captain Adam Voges not out 48 and Josh Inglis 35.
WA lost opener Jon Wells early for three but Bancroft and Hilton Cartwright looked at ease in a 108-run stand.
That ended with Cartwright caught behind by Peter Nevill off Doug Bollinger for 70.
Bancroft then brought up his second century of the season in a 139-run partnership with Turner.
Bancroft fell before Michael Klinger came and went without scoring, bowled by Sean Abbott.
Turner also fell short of a century as the Warriors lost 3-30.
But in his last game at home and likely of his first-class career in Australia, Voges teamed with Inglis to safely take WA to stumps.
Trent Copeland (2-96 from 28 overs) and Bollinger (1-55 from 17) have been the best with the ball for NSW.
Bancroft hopes that WA can kick on from the strong day one to win for Voges.
"We want to win the game for him. Obviously mathematically there is the opportunity for us to go and play in a Shield final, but the first thing for us is to win the game for him," Bancroft said.
"The last five or six years playing with Adam has been an absolute privilege.
"I've been lucky enough to be out there with him while he's playing well and sitting back watching him score truckloads of runs.
"It's going to be a big hurt for WA cricket but it's the start of something else too."
