WA man arrested after road rage incident

A man has been charged with smashing another car with a wooden pole after the motorist warned him to not text and drive.

A 53-year-old Perth driver is accused of smashing another car with a wooden pole after the driver warned him to not use his mobile phone while driving.

WA Police say the victim "waved his finger" at the driver, indicating he should not be on his phone while driving, before the 56-year-old cut the victim's car off in Subiaco and hit it with a pole.

A man was arrested on Tuesday in relation to the October 2015 road rage incident and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on March 30, charged with being armed in public to cause terror.

It is the latest arrest in a string of road rage incidents in Perth, including a 29-year-old man charged on Tuesday over a violent attack, also last October on Perth's Kwinana freeway caught on mobile phone that left a terrified grandmother showered in glass and injured.
