WA man charged over one punch attack

A 27-year-old Mandurah man has been charged with grievous bodily harm over a one punch attack that has left the victim in a critical condition.

A man has been charged over an alleged one-punch attack in a pub this week that left Jason Goodwin, 27, in hospital fighting for his life.

Police charged a 27-year-old Mandurah man with grievous bodily harm over the incident that occurred at about 4.30pm on Tuesday at the Silver Sands Tavern in Mandurah, south of Perth.

He was refused bail and will appear at Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Police had launched a manhunt since the incident before laying charges on Friday.

A 48-year-old Mandurah woman has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to an indictable offence and will appear at Mandurah Magistrates Court at a later date.

Mr Goodwin was reportedly punched while playing pool with his cousin.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with severe brain bleeding and skull fractures and remains in a critical condition.
