Steve Irons says his staff told him of the website posting that showed his house and instructions on how to get there.
The photo was captioned: "Steve Irons - Feral Member for Swan. It's best not to antagonise the most vulnerable, they may take real action against you".

Mr Irons told AAP on Wednesday that his staff had contacted Australian Federal Police who he hoped had the technology to find out who posted the threat and could take appropriate action.
"We have people in our society who obviously do work outside what's acceptable. I mean that's why we have jails I guess."
Mr Irons, whose seat has become notionally Labor by just 0.3 per cent after a redistribution, said the veiled threat against him was "totally unacceptable".
"Basically I'm a single father, my son lives with me, I would hate to see anything happen to him," he said.
"It's certainly not going to stop me continuing the campaign.
"I'll continue with the big fight, even with the flu, until Friday night."
Mr Irons said he could not think of anyone he had upset.
"But you never know ... when you're in politics you might say one thing that could upset someone.
"I guess that's why we see people like John Lennon get assassinated, don't they?"
Mr Irons said it appeared the threat was directed more at damaging his property, but it was certainly worrying.
He said he had received no other threats during the campaign.
