WA trio charged over kangaroo attack

Three WA people have been charged with animal cruelty for their role in an alleged attack on a kangaroo that was repeatedly hit with an axe handle.

A filmed attack on a kangaroo, which was repeatedly struck with the wooden handle of an axe, has led to three people being charged with animal cruelty in Western Australia.

Police said the incident, which allegedly happened between March 1 and 7, was recorded on a mobile phone.

Two 18-year-old men and one 17-year-old boy have each been charged with animal cruelty.
