WA woman charged with raping nine-year-old

A WA woman has been charged with raping a nine-year-old boy and in a separate incident, a 66-year-old man has been charged with child exploitation offences.

A West Australian woman has been charged with raping a nine-year-old boy.

The 27-year-old from Perth is charged with the sexual penetration of a child under 13 years and making threats to injure, endanger or harm a person.

Police allege she abused the boy, who is known to her, in October and November 2015.

In a separate incident, a 66-year-old Halls Head man has been charged by WA and federal police over child exploitation material.

Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team officers raided his home on July 20, seizing a computer and electronic storage devices.

The man has since been charged with possessing child exploitation material and using a carriage service to distribute child exploitation material.

Both accused are due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
