WA woman dies from assault injuries

An 18-year-old woman who was assaulted at a house in Perth's southeastern suburbs has died in hospital from her injuries.

An 18-year-old woman has died from injuries she sustained during an assault at a house in Perth's southeast.

Police were called to the house in Beckenham at about 7.50am (WST) on Friday and found the young woman with life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but police said on Sunday morning she had died there.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police said inquiries were continuing.
