The 33-year-old lock, who will make his 122nd Welsh appearance, said all the talk about the match being the title decider for this year's tournament could threaten to overwhelm.
“There is a danger we can get overly emotive and swept away and be tired coming into the game tomorrow, so there is that element of trying to keep feet on the ground,” he said on Friday at his captain’s run at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
“They’re never normal occasions. Obviously the team you play have always got something to prove off the back of whatever has gone before for them.”
