Walls don't solve immigration: Merkel

Getting on well with neighbours helps solve migration pressures, says Germany's Angela Merkel in Mexico, not building walls.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has told Mexicans putting up walls will not solve problems that countries are seeing due to immigration.

Speaking in Mexico City on Saturday alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, Merkel said history showed only when empires have gotten on well with their neighbours have migration pressures been resolved in a way that ensured stability.
