Two of Australia's most wanted men may have been sighted in Victoria refuelling a white 4WD that was stolen near Wagga Wagga in regional NSW.

Police say two men, believed to be Gino Stocco and his son Mark, were seen at a service station in Euroa in Victoria's northeast around 6.30pm on Monday.

The sighting occurred several hours after a Toyota Landcruiser with distinctive white bull bars was stolen from a property at Little Billabong near Holbrook.

The men are wanted over an alleged shootout with NSW police on Friday and a string of other offences.
