David Warner has completed one of his poorest Test series with the bat, folding for six on day three of Australia's series decider against India.
Warner, whose dismissal in Dharamsala kickstarted a game-changing collapse of 3-21, scored 193 runs at 24.12 in the engaging four-Test series.
The opener, who rarely looked comfortable at the crease - especially when Ravichandran Ashwin had the ball in hand, has only averaged less in two series.
Warner tallied just 39 runs at 13 during a two-Test tour of New Zealand last year.
The left-hander averaged 23 during the 2013 Ashes, having missed the first two games of that series as part of the punishment dished out for clocking Joe Root in a Birmingham bar.
Warner's slump widened the gap between his record at home and away.
Warner now averages 59.21 in Australia and 34.96 overseas. Some 14 of his 18 Test tons have come at home.
"Numbers always pop up everywhere," Warner said said between the third and fourth Tests.
"Everyone in world cricket, greats and legends of the game, have had stints overseas or at home - they've had some form slumps and that's just the game of cricket."
Warner was on Monday dropped by third slip Karun Nair for the second time in the series decider, but added a single run before he was caught behind.
Warner was struck on the chest by a brute of a ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who successfully targeted Australia's openers with a bouncer barrage.
"That ball that rose up and hit David Warner, it unsettled him a little bit," former Australia paceman Brett Lee said on Star Sports.
Warner edged the opening delivery of the game to Nair. On that occasion he added 56 runs, posting his first half-century of the series.
