Australian vice-captain David Warner has found a missing cricket bat after taking to social media to hunt for it.

Warner tweeted a photo of a man holding two bats, with one significantly thicker than the other.

"Does anyone know this bloke. One of my bats have been taken from my bag and he is flogging it online," Warner's caption read.

After the initial post was re-tweeted more than 200 times in less than two hours, the hunt was over.

"We have found the bat. He thought it would be a joke to take a pic and pretend to sell it online. He did not steal it he just took a pic," Warner tweeted.

Warner, who recently took time out from cricket to celebrate the birth of his second daughter Indi Rae, is set to open the batting for Australia in their fourth ODI clash with India in Canberra on Wednesday.
