Golden State star Stephen Curry will miss at least five more games with a "mild to moderate" groin strain and will be re-evaluated in 10 days, NBA club says.

He was injured November 8 versus Milwaukee and has missed three games.

The Warriors start a three-game run through Texas on Thursday, with games against Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

Curry will make the trip but won't play, the team says.

Coach Steve Kerr said on Monday the Warriors were being extra careful with the two-time MVP because this was a "new injury for him".

Curry leads the league in scoring with 29.5 points a game this season, adding 6.1 assists and five rebounds in 12 games.
