Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was not hurt after two cars collided with the vehicle he was driving on a highway in Oakland.
Authorities say Curry was driving a black Porsche on Friday when the driver of a Lexus lost control and struck his car.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer Herman Baza said Curry stopped in the centre median and as he waited for officers to arrive, another sedan lost control and rear-ended his Porsche.
Baza said no one was injured or arrested and that rain was a factor in the crash.
The crash happened as Curry was headed to a shoot-around at the Warriors' training facility, to which he later arrived. He did not speak to reporters.
"Don't need any reminders but All the Time God is Great and God is Great all the time," Curry later tweeted.
Curry's father, former NBA player Dell Curry, told KTVU in the Bay Area after the collision that his son was not injured.
"He's OK. We just want his groin injury to heal," Curry said.
ESPN reported Curry will miss Friday night's game against Portland and will not play Saturday against Sacramento, both at home, due to a strained left groin.
"I haven't seen him," teammate Klay Thompson said after Curry's incident on Friday.
"I heard he's all right, though."
Curry, a two-time NBA MVP and three-time champion, has been sidelined since November 8 with his injury to be re-evaluated on Saturday.
He has missed the past seven Warriors games.
