WA's Maslin family reach MH17 settlement

Perth's Maslin family has reached a financial settlement with Malaysia Airlines over the MH17 plane crash that killed their three children.

The Maslin family in Perth has reached a confidential financial settlement with Malaysia Airlines almost three years after their three children were killed in the MH17 plane crash.

Malaysia Airlines confirmed in a statement that an "amicable and confidential settlement" had been reached with the Maslin family and their lawsuit had been withdrawn.

"Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families and friends affected," the airline said.

Mo, 12, Evie, 10, and eight-year-old Otis Maslin died with their grandfather Nick Norris when the plane was shot down over Ukraine in July 2014.

Premier Mark McGowan said he wished the Maslin family, who had since had a fourth child, all the best.

"I hope to some small degree it brings them some comfort," he told reporters on Tuesday.
