Jessica Watson has arrived in her home port of Mooloolaba for the final chapter of a story that has taken her around the world and back to her home town on the Sunshine Coast.
A flotilla of about 50 boats has escorted the 17 year old solo sailor into the harbour where hundreds of people have lined the banks to cheer her home as she ends the last leg of her historic voyage.
Groups of onlookers have watched Jessica's Ella Pink Lady sail close to the coastline from vantage points along the Sunshine Coast.

Watson, arrived in Sydney to massive fanfare three weeks ago after circumnavigating the globe solo.
Several thousand fans have gathered at the Mooloolaba Yacht Club and nearby surf club where the teenager will be welcomed home by Premier Anna Bligh.
