Wawrinka pulls out of Rotterdam tennis

A leg injury has forced Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka out of next week's Rotterdam tennis tournament.

Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka has pulled out of the ATP event in Rotterdam next week with a leg injury, he announced on Tuesday.

"Unfortunately I'm not in the form to compete in Rotterdam," said the Swiss star who helped his country qualify for the Davis Cup quarter-finals with success over Serbia in last weekend's first-round tie.

"I hope to be back on court very quickly," added the 28-year-old, who claimed his first grand slam when he beat Rafael Nadal in Melbourne.
