Weather smiles on Ireland's gay marriage vote

Even the weather agrees with Ireland after one of the largest turnouts in a referendum on same-sex marriage resulted in a resounding 'Yes'. Rainbows have appeared in the skies, not just on the flags in the streets.

As the result of Ireland's referendum was announced - 62 per cent voted 'Yes', making Ireland the first country to adopt same-sex marriage by popular vote - rainbows appeared over Dublin.

People have uploaded their photographs to social media to mark on the remarkable weather coincidence.
Some people even suggested it was God himself who approved of the vote's outcome.
Then there was ahem, 'God' himself.
