Australia will finally get the chance to complete a Champions Trophy match on Saturday with the weather in Birmingham set to be fine for their do-or-die match against England.

Rain has washed out Australia's first two group matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand and they must beat Eoin Morgan's side to progress to the semi-finals.

Skipper Steve Smith said a decision on the team will be made on the morning of the game but, with a new wicket being used for the match, spinner Adam Zampa may be left out in favour of John Hastings.

Coach Darren Lehmann said this week Chris Lynn may also come into the side to bolster the batting against a side that has posted over 300 in 10 of their last 13 innings.

"It's not ideal we haven't got through a full fixture yet," Smith said.

"But we can't control the weather. We can only control what we're doing, and we've prepared really well in the nets.

"It's essentially a quarter-final for us, so we're ready to come up against a good England outfit."

Should Australia fail to win Bangladesh will progress after their five-wicket win over New Zealand in Cardiff on Friday.

Possible team: Warner, Finch, Smith (capt), Lynn, Head, Maxwell, Wade, Hastings, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood.
