Australia goes into Saturday's final group game at cricket's Champions Trophy tournament needing to win against host England or face elimination from the tournament.
Steve Smith's side suffered the frustration of two washouts against New Zealand and Bangladesh, while England is already through to the semi-final.
Fast bowler Mitchell Starc destroyed the tail-end of the Bangladesh batting line-up with four wickets in 8 balls in what proved a futile effort because of the rain.
And Starc knows exactly what has to be done on Saturday at Edgbaston: "England probably expect of themselves to win and they've talked themselves up in the media. So its nice for us to come in and rip-in and know we have to win and play our best cricket heading into the back end of the tournament."
The finals of the women's and men's tennis singles at the French Open are decided in the early hours of Sunday and Monday morning respectively.
Despite the early exit of world number two Novak Djokovic of Serbia, looming large in the men's draw are world number one Andy Murray of Britain and the undisputed Spanish king of clay, Rafael Nadal.
On the women's side, the enforced absence of Serena Williams because of pregnancy and the early exit of Germany's Angelique Kerber has opened up the draw.
Should Simona Halep of Romania carry home the trophy, she'll replace Kerber at the top of the women's rankings.
She'll play Latvian Jelena Ostapenko in the women's singles final tomorrow night.
Neither has previously won a Grand Slam tournament.
Halep defeated Karolina Pliskova 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in her semi-final.
The now 20 year-old Ostapenko is the first Latvian to have reached a Grand Slam final in the Open era and she admits that although the surface isn't ideal for her, the clay at Roland Garros has special qualities.
"Clay is not my best surface, but I really love to play here because here the clay is a bit different from other clay, it's pretty fast, so I think it suits my game pretty well."
In the AFL tonight the Adelaide Crows can return to the top of the ladder with victory over St. Kilda.
The Greater Western Sydney Giants, who currently sit on top of the table, take on Carlton on Sunday.
In the NRL there are two games tonight.
The Manly Sea Eagles face the Newcastle Knights in the early evening game.
Then it's the Brisbane Broncos looking to keep pace with the top four when they take on South Sydney.
In netball, the Melbourne Vixens and the Sydney Giants meet on Saturday night to see who will earn the right to play the Sunshine Coast Lightning in next weekend's Grand Final.
In motorsport, Australian Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo is hoping he can continue his recent good form of two podium finishes in the Spanish and Monte Carlo Grand Prix when the circuit moves to Canada this weekend.
The race itself takes place in the early hours on Monday morning and Red Bull driver Ricciardo believes his strong form can continue.
"A couple of back-to-back podiums and I think we're really starting to figure out the car and its strengths, its weaknesses, and we're starting to exploit that now, so it's getting there. Its been a slower start than we would have liked but I have faith that its getting better and better."
And finally in the US NBA, the Golden State Warriors will look to clinch this year's title on Saturday morning when they take on Cleveland in Game Four of their finals series.
Golden State took out Game 3 for its third win of the series.
A win on Saturday would see them win their second title in three years.
It's the third season in a row the two sides are meeting in the season finale.
