Mineral sands miner Iluka Resources has named the head of Wesfarmers' chemicals and energy division, Tom O'Leary as its new chief executive, effective September 5.
He will replace outgoing managing director David Robb, who announced his resignation at the company's annual general meeting in May, after a 10-year stint.
Mr O'Leary has held senior positions in Wesfarmers for 16 years, and has previously worked with Nomura and legal firm Allen & Overy.
