Stats machine Russell Westbrook notched his 17th triple-double of the season as he fired the Oklahoma Thunder to a 121-106 thrashing of the Denver Nuggets.

Westbrook racked up 32 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists in Saturday night's home win as the Thunder took their season record to 22-16.

His scoring haul included seven 3-pointers after hitting a career-high eight on Thursday at Houston, and he also matched his season high in rebounds in the 54th triple-double of his career.

The Thunder sit seventh in the western conference but well clear of eighth-placed Portland (16-22).

Westbrook's triple-doubles are usually a strong pointer to the result. The Thunder improved to 32-3 over the past two seasons in games when he bags one.

Kiwi centre Steven Adams scored 16 points and Victor Oladipo added 15 for the Thunder, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Wilson Chandler scored 24 points and Will Barton added 21 for the Nuggets who notched their fifth consecutive loss and allowed at least 120 points in all of them.

In Dallas, Australian centre Andrew Bogut was in the Dallas Mavericks starting five, having been relegated to a bench role in some recent games.

He pulled down 11 rebounds but the slumping Mavericks lost 97-82 to the Atlanta Hawks to fall to 11-26 this season.

Bogut's counterpart Dwight Howard had a whopping 20 rebounds for the Hawks (21-16), who won a sixth straight game.

Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dennis Schroder assumed Atlanta's 3-point shooting role after sharpshooter Kyle Korver was traded to defending champions Cleveland, combining for 42 points

In Minneapolis, George Hill scored 19 points in his return from a concussion and Rudy Gobert tipped in a rebound with 27.5 seconds to play to lift Utah past Minnesota 94-92.

Derrick Favors scored seven of his 15 points in the fourth, and Gobert finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks as the Jazz rallied from 11 points down to start the final quarter.

In Indianapolis, Paul George and Jeff Teague each scored 19 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 123-109 over the New York Knicks.

Thaddeus Young had 16 points and nine rebounds, C.J. Miles added 15 points, and the Pacers won their fifth straight.

Carmelo Anthony and Brandon Jennings each scored 17 points for the Knicks, who lost for the seventh time in eight games.
