Wests Tigers have signed South Sydney prop Tim Grant for the next two seasons as the exodus of players from South Sydney continues.

The one-time NSW State of Origin prop had been heavily linked with the joint venture club for the past month, but will immediately bolster an engine room that lost veteran prop Keith Galloway over the summer.

He trained with his new teammates for the first time on Friday.

"There's no gains in sitting around, I just want to get out there and get into training with the boys and get to know them," Grant said in a statement.

"It's an exciting young roster, there are a lot of guys there who are ready to hit their straps and a new leadership group with Aaron Woods leading the way and I think we have a bright future ahead of us here."

Grant has become the third high profile player to leave Redfern since the club splashed the cash to sign premiership hero Sam Burgess back from English rugby.

His departure comes on the back of centre Dylan Walker leaving for Manly and back-rower Chris McQueen heading to the Gold Coast Titans.
