A five- to six-metre juvenile whale has been freed after becoming tangled in shark nets off Queensland's Gold Coast.

A baby whale has been freed from shark nets off the Gold Coast.

Queensland's marine animal release team went to the whale's aid after it was spotted off Burleigh Heads on Tuesday morning.
